Astuce : trouver l'historique de tous les logiciels installés sur son Mac

Tout ce que vous avez installé comme logiciels sur votre Mac est consigné par OS X et peut être retrouvé par un moyen très simple. Cette astuce de maketecheasier, reprise par The Loop, utilise une fonction tout à fait standard d'OS X mais pas forcément connue de tous au vu de son emplacement.

Ouvrez le menu Pomme et appuyez sur la touche Alt. L'item de menu À propos de ce Mac va se transformer en Information système. C'est un raccourci pour ouvrir directement l'utilitaire du même nom. Dans sa colonne latérale, descendez jusqu'à la section Logiciel et cliquez sur Installations (si ce dernier n'y est pas, sélectionnez Affichez plus de détails dans le menu Fichiers).

Information système dresse alors l'historique des logiciels que vous avez installés un jour sur votre Mac, la date, les versions successives téléchargées et la source de leur distribution.

Il n'y a pas forcément un intérêt immédiat pour tout le monde dans la lecture de cette liste, mais elle peut servir pour vérifier par exemple si un logiciel en particulier est passé un jour par votre Mac et quand. Pour trier aussi les logiciels venant d'Apple et du Mac App Store (deux sources de confiance) des autres téléchargés ailleurs.

Cette vue complète la liste proposée par la ligne Applications du même utilitaire qui fournit un peu plus d'informations sur chaque logiciel mais uniquement ceux présents.

Les plus curieux retrouveront ces informations dans le fichier : "/Library/Receipts/InstallHistory.plist"

Ne compte pas sur cette astuce qui ne fonctionne pas correctement, comme à peu peu près tout pour l'instant chez Apple, chez moi du moins...

Certains logiciels installés via le Mac App Store apparaissent comme étant de tierce partie.
Par exemple, Evernote depuis la version 6 apparait en tierce partie alors que les màj sont bien effectuées chez moi via le MAS...
Le dernier logiciel que j'ai installé, Quip, apparait également comme venant d'une tierce partie.

Cette fonction ne répondra donc pas à ta demande en l'état...

Peut-être serait-il bon de préciser à partir de quelle version de l'OS cette info est dispo (je suis sous Snow Leopard - on ne se moque pas ! :) ) ?

Sinon, le fichier "History.plist" notifié par Y-K est bien dispo chez moi - ça peut avoir son utilité.
